Troubleshooting consists of the following steps:

Observing what the computer is doing wrong

This means, make an inventory of everything that is wrong! Some failures are results of larger failures ( ie "results" of an earlier failure), and other failures

are "symptoms" of the cause! Sort of a parent-child relationship.

Knowing the difference between wrong and right

This is where experience is the key! Less experienced PC Technicians, will home in on a "non-failure", which frankly is "not fixable!" Or they may home in on

the "wrong" failure. For example: If a PC is infected, many things will be wrong, but you have to determine that it is infected, and not try to fix each

symptom, such as can't access the internet, which is a result of the infection!

    Knowing what to do

Once you have identified the right problem to fix, then you need to know the best approach to solving the problem. In some cases, cleaning off

malware or virus infections takes longer than format/reload! Also, in some cases, the cost of fixing a computer would exceed the value of the

computer! If that is the case, we will inform you, before we proceed. You may well choose to replace the computer, rather than run up a repair bill.

Our policy is to provide the most cost effective solution for our customers!
